New online boardsport magazine!

It is an online board sports magazine which covers mountainboarding, kiteboarding, longboarding and snowboarding. There are not many outlets for mountainboard media at the moment so we hope everyone will rally behind Board-Mag. They are currently looking for contributors to send in content. This can be anything from a one off travel report to a regular column about your local mountainboard club or scene.

Make sure you check out Board Mag and if you can – contribute something!

History of Mountainboarding by Remolition

Dan Wilson over at Remolition has put together a pretty comprehensive history of mountainboarding covering the period from 1990 to 2000. He goes through all the different brands and people involved in inventing and pushing mountainboarding from day one. It is a great read if your snowed in or bored at work/school/home.

Rhys has just uploaded this video of some of his old footage. The video shows the likes of Tom Kirkman, Alex Downie and Ollie Morrison riding demos in Morzine, France and Cortina, Italy. There is loads of freeride footage too. The video includes on of Tom’s early 720 attempts.

Toby is cycling round China for Alzheimers

Toby was one of the original MBS riders and has been working here over the last winter. He is now on a mission to cycle 3000km in 30 days and raise £3000. So far so good. He is halfway through his cycle and over halfway towards raising his target amount.

An ex pat website in Shanghai is hosting a full blog for him which he can update whilst he is out there. There are loads of photos and reports of the places he is visiting.
