Jereme is back and badder than ever, and the board that bears his name is the same. To start with, we totally retooled the Pro 95 deck to be reverse cap construction (RCC) and added a whole inch of width under foot so its more stable on the rails and gives you more control over every move you make. We’ve also upgraded the base to PBT so it slides like butter while protecting it’s stylin’ new graphics.
We didn’t stop with the deck. We’ve taken all the tried and true componentry of the previous Pro 95 (including aluminum RS Pro hubs) and added an even poppier deck lay-up, new Matrix Pro trucks (with CNC 6061-T6 aluminum top trucks), and new F4 Pro bindings (with aluminum L-brackets). All this makes Jereme’s new Pro 95 required equipment for anyone wanting to push the limits of freestyle mountainboarding / kiteboarding.
MBS PRO 95 – JEREME LEAFE
It is time to officially announce the new 2010 MBS Pro 100. This year as many already know it will be the Tom Kirkman signature model. It has been a long time coming and a whole lot of work and testing has gone into the production of this board.
Tom is a legend in the world of mountainboarding. From the early days he always stood out of the crowd for his talent and style. His style has strong skateboard influences. He is the one who is going faster than anyone else and jumping higher than everyone else. Tom is now back in a big way. In 2009 he won the World Downhill Championships (no brake) in France, then the World Freestyle Championships in August, and was crowned the overall winner of the Cream Teas and Jam series proving he is truly the best mountainboarder out there.
The board is built to Tom’s specifications. The board is stiff, allowing you to tackle the biggest jumps and fastest tracks with precision. To help reduce weight and increase strength we have removed all unnecessary inserts. We shaved off half a kilo on the complete board weight.
We have stuck to the tried and tested wood core with a reverse cap composite wrap and PBT graphics. This comes together to create a bombproof deck with vibrant coloured graphics. Dan Wilson, one of the guys behind Remolition worked with Tom, who provided his own sketches to create a truly unique graphic.
The next big change is Matrix Pro trucks. The Matrix channel truck has proved unbeatable so far, and this is the next level of development. We have been developing metal top trucks for a while and finally they are ready. The result is an even more bombproof truck than before that is lighter than before and provides more controlled turning than before.
To keep up with the bombproof theme the board is fitted with F4 Pro bindings (white) with aluminium L brackets and Rockstar Pro hubs (silver) and T1 tyres (black).
From time to time we all like wasting a bit of time watching some videos online or want to show a friend more of our sport. Over time a number of different people have worked on videos for us. Jack from the BFC made that documentary on the MBS Pro Ramp. Mark Berry made a number of videos including the KiteFreeStyle series and one of the most watched mountainboard videos of all time “A Day at Bugs”. In recent times our very on Tom Kirkman has been pumping out videos almost weekly showing what he gets up to.

The snow has come and hit the UK over the last week or so causing all kinds of havoc. After getting up to the top of Cleeve Common (adrenalin rush in itself) Marcus Woodbridge and Greg Chilton (ATB Shop Team Riders) got some shots of them riding the MBS Pro 90 in the snow.
We have been having a bit of a clean up in the warehouse and come across a bunch of complete wheels including Rockstar Pros fitted with T3 tyres and also Twistars with T3 tyres. They are priced a bit lower than the sum of the components and we have already done the hard work of assembling them for you. Grab a bargain whilst you still can.
This is an issue that seems to confuse a lot of people. Countless times on the various forums and at events people have discussed decks and what pop really is. It gets mixed up with flex and stiffness. We have therefore asked some of our riders and R&D team to contribute answers.
AJ Watkins:
Pop is the amount and speed of return from the deck that has been pre loaded by the rider.
Joel Lee:
1. The sudden burst of energy that a deck releases after a rider “loads” it. 2. The spring effect that a rider gets from a deck off the lip of a jump.
Tom Kirkman:
When I say pop I dont mean flex – they are two completely different things. For me its the way a board responds as you jump off the lip. For example on a soft, flexy deck you lose half your monentum/power when you hit the transition because it sags so much, but people think these decks are poppy. Your legs should be doing the jumping not the board because flexy pop is unpredictable and will invariably throw you off.
Lewis Wilby:
Pop is when a rider uses the deck of a mountainboard to increase the height of jump by putting pressure/ flexing the board out of shape then allowing it to return to its original shape. A board with more pop would be the one that reflexes up the fastest with the most amount of power. For me the best pop is from a board that is stiff but with the right amount of load will flex down and push me up as fast as possible.

Thats right people. You heard it right. After months of struggling to keep these in stock for more than 2 minutes we have had another delivery and cleared all the back orders.
