Lennart wins dutch flyboarden open

Lennart is a great kiteboarder – he is always fun to hang out with and he always impresses with his latest tricks. This year has been tough due to him breaking his hand. It has made unhooked moves pretty much impossible and he has had to focus on his hooked in moves. Eitherway he managed to win the dutch open which is great. Jelmer – another dutch MBS rider managed a very respectable third position.

Cream Teas and Jam Final and Write Up

Last weekend Surf the Turf in Cumbria hosted the final of the Cream Teas and Jam series. A load of riders made it up for the event and it was a total success! MBS Europe pro rider Joe Dickson took 1st at Surf the Turf – he also won all the other rounds making him the champion overall. Ryan Roberts walked away with 2nd place. 3rd place went to Junior rider Amon Shaw, whose performance saw him claim the MBS Europe Junior Jammer Sponsorship prize! This means Amon is our new team rider – more on that soon. Jacob Cox won the Junior category and killed it beasting it on the big drop off.

Rhys has written a full report over at Yum Yum BFC featuring photos from Paul Crilley.

Joe Dickson’s footage has been edited by David Vimto to give us a look at some of the action in the final.

ps. Notice all Joe’s snazzy follow cam and rails and everything else. Also how he manages to film and win at the same time. If you want to be like Joe you will need an MBS Pro 95.

Mountainboarding at Cleeve Hill, Ledbury Woods and some centres

This summer we had the pleasure of Justin ‘Beebz’ Dersham of One5 media fame (made Shralpdown and Hot Action) and Dylan ‘radface’ Warren joining us from the US and Oz. The MBS Europe Pro team of course made them feel welcome and made sure their trip was the best thing ever by taking them out to as many spots as possible. The itinerary was mad and in this video you can see they did everything from party, to play ping pong, to work out, to hitting Court Farm, Ledbury Woods and Cleeve Hill. A whole lotta mountainboarding.

Lewis Wilby freeriding at Ayr BKSA event

Lewis Wilby has been competing in the water this year but he still loves to landboard. He has been focusing on his wakestyle moves for a while now and is making things look pretty smooth on land. Here he is having a bit of a lightwind freeride session. Thanks to Paul from CKB for putting this quick edit together.

MBS Pro Team Mountainboard Demo at Camp Bestival

For those who have been to White Air in the past, then they will recognise the big blue ramp which has been around for a while now. It has been set up at numerous events and is much loved by the riders. This time the team headed down to Camp Bestival which is the family part of Bestival. The ramp was set up on a bit of a gradient making it real fast but the quarter fairly unusable. You landed flat on top of it every time pretty much. Highlights included a front flip off the worlds smallest kicker, fancy dress mountainboarding, and Lee ‘Scratch” Perry.

Riding at Out To Grass mountainboard centre

The MBS Pro team have tried to visit most mountainboard centres this summer to film and see what they have to offer. Out to Grass is one of the original mountainboard centres in the UK and has a loyal following of local riders including our very own Tom Read and Nicki Forecast. Enjoy the video.

Matt Brind wins UK series for second year running!

Matt has been trying really hard to dominate the UK series for a while now and after winning the boardercross and the overall (Joe Dickson took the freestyle) for the year in 2009 he knew he wanted all three in 2010. This has been his lucky year despite getting an injury at the final round at Hales Superbole. Stu Lugger managed to come third overall too. Pete Hills and Kynan Goggin managed good rankings in the freestyle discipline.
