Tom Kirkman in Sweden

Tom has gone over to Sweden to help promote mountainboarding and the development of a new mountainboard school in the area of Are. The set up is amazing. On top of riding the area and showing the locals what mountainboarding is all about Tom has been doing some TV interviews too.

See the TV interview and check out the photo of Tom boardsliding the handrail.

Justin Dersham – the creator of some of the best mountainboard movies including Hot Action and Shralpdown was also with Tom. Here is a quick edit he put together showing just how awesome the spot was.

Foam Pits are great for progression

Not many people are lucky enough to have a foam pit in their back yard. Josh Maddocks is though. MBS Rider Matt Brind headed down to Devon along with his buddies from Project Doc and they had a progression session. Foam pit gives you the opportunity to practice getting the body movements right for a new trick before you try it on dirt. This can save on a lot of bruising. Good times.

MBS Pro Team Training Camp at Haredown

Tom Kirkman, Tuai Lovejoy, Ollie Morrison and Jamie Johnstone were down at Haredown last weekend running a training camp. These camps are all about giving groms time with pro riders. A little instruction together with some motivation and inspiration really helps riders progress and take their riding to the next level. With the World Freestyle Championships only a month away, and the National Series running – it is a great time to be learning some new tricks.

Here is a quick video made by Ben Rye.

Nicky Geerse second at Moscow Adrenaline Games

Moscow has just hosted the Russian Adrenaline Games. Mountainboarding yet again featured as a discipline. The jump was great being about 2m high and 6m from jump to knuckle. Nicky pulled off a load of moves but eventually game second. See the highlight video below. There are some super stylish moves.

Toby is cycling round China for Alzheimers

Toby was one of the original MBS riders and has been working here over the last winter. He is now on a mission to cycle 3000km in 30 days and raise £3000. So far so good. He is halfway through his cycle and over halfway towards raising his target amount.

An ex pat website in Shanghai is hosting a full blog for him which he can update whilst he is out there. There are loads of photos and reports of the places he is visiting.
