Nicky Stirrups is our number one dutch mountainboard rider and has a massive trick bag. This is his first video from his return to riding after almost two years out due to a knee injury. As you can see quite clearly the boy has still got it and his riding is as sweet as ever. You can see more of him riding in his Ride The Hill mountainboarding video.
Dan Wilson from Remolition (who also did the graphics for the new MBS Pro 100 mountainboard) came to visit us the other week when we were down at Windsor Race Course for the British Leisure Show. Despite the very wet weather for the first couple of days the sun did eventually come out and some sweet riding could occur. Dan has put together a nice gallery of images from the event. Photographs are all by Dan Wilson himself. There are some pretty funny ones including one of potentially the worse boyband ever and another showing Tom Kirkman flying over a giant panda.
In the evening we built some jib features out of the hire and ride ramp and there are some great shots from that too!
After some time out due to knee surgery Nicky is back and on top form. He was recently in the UK riding at the Ride the Hill Vert Jam where he placed second overall. This video is shot using footage from his trip to the UK. Nicky will be joined by Australian rider Dylan Warren later this year and they will be embarking on a European tour!
ATC Productions are well known in the industry for their mountainboard videos but the names behind it are even more well known. Tom Kirkman, Ollie Morrison and Tuai Lovejoy with guest appearances from the likes of Jamie Johnstone and Joe Dickson will be visiting various centres around the UK this summer. They are not just popping by to ride though, they will be running ATC Training Camps. This will give the future stars of mountainboarding, and those who just want a little help improving a chance to be coached by some of the best riders in the World.
Ask your local centre to see if they are holding a training camp and if not why not!

Video put together by MBS rider Pete Hills, filmed at Hales Superbole in Cheshire at the third round of last years ATBA mountainboard championship. The riding is excellent and really shows off what the UK series has to offer. The footage is mostly of the freestyle and you can see Matt Brind and Joe Dickson battling it out for the top spot and pulling out all their top tricks. Jamie Johnstone and Josh Maddox are also on form fighting over that last spot on the podium.
World Mountainboard Day was set as Saturday 19th June which also ties in with BBC Thrillseeker. Thrillseeker is all about encouraging people to be active and try out something new. To help people try out mountainboarding for the first time Bugsboarding Mountainboard Centre have teamed up with the ATBA and decided to make lessons and hire & ride half price.
It is expected to be busy so booking will be essential.
World Mountainboard Day is all about riding with your friends and having a good time. We hope to see as many boarders as possible out that weekend.
We have finally released the new entry level 2010 boards. This includes a revamp of all the graphics and a few extra changes. The Atom 95 has been replaced by an Atom 90. This is a better all round board size for an entry level rider and makes the jump between the Atom 85 and the Core and Comp boards a bit smaller. We have kept the Atom 95X though as the extra length is beneficial when riding with a brake for extra stability. The Atom 90 has been available for the last month and has proved immensely popular already.

Outside of the BKSA Kiteival events Wallop has the potential to be the UK’s biggest land based kiting event. This event has a legendary track record for good riding and heavy socialising. It has been away for a few years but now it is back. There is not much time left however for booking tickets. The event runs from 6pm on Friday 28th to 4pm on 31st May.
